Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at the Airport

Morning breakfast and relax at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Serene Hotel kigo.

Day 2Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast at your Hotel in Kampala, you will be transferred to South Western Uganda where Bwindi National Park is Found and located. En route, You will have a stopover at the Equator at Kayabwe for an informative from The guides and also take photographs.
Continue to Mbarara town for a lunch Stopover. After lunch you will proceed with the journey to Bwindi and will take you through the rolling green hills and highlands of Uganda. Your road will then head even higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. We then drop down into a Valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla. Dinner and overnight gorilla in the mist lodge, silver back or similar.

Day 3Mountain Gorilla Trekking and transfer to Kigali

Before 8:00am, you will have breakfast and then transfer to the Ranger station for a briefing and guidance of the activity. After this, you will be accompanied by armed ranger guides in the forest to search for the Mountain Gorillas. You will pass through the forest, slashing at the Undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track gorillas.

The time taken to Track the Gorillas is unpredictable since it depends on their movements in search for food and shelter. However, it can take from 2 to 9 hours. Upon Reaching the Gorillas, you will have one hour with them and this will enable you to sit down and watch them as they interact with each other, Communicate and you are also free to take photographs and Videos. Immediately you will be transfer to Rwanda\ Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Des mill collines hotel.

Day 4Kigali city tour and transfer to Nyungwe forest Natinal park

After breakfast, you will go for a city tour, visit the Genocide Memorial sites which will give you insights of what happened in 1994, Butare Cultural Museum and the Old King’s Palace in Nyanza. Dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Hotel.

Day 5Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest and transfer to Burundi

Set out before day light for a chimpanzee tracking experience in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Before the activity, activity, you will first get the briefing from the Park rangers who will in details explain to you the rules for Chimpanzee trekking. When it comes to day light, you will already be in the forest. Also look out for the colobus monkeys, Varvet monkeys and so many other primates. Return to your lodge for lunch and refreshments and then later in the afternoon, you will proceed and cross to Burundi. dinner and over night at Club Du Lac Tanganyika Hotel.

Day 6Bujumbura cultural tour

After breakfast, you will set out and visit the Rusizi National Park where you can spot different animals like Hippos and also of bird species. You will also get a chance to see the joining point of Rusizi River and Lake Tanganyika. After this, visit the explorers memorial which is a huge rock in the city Suburbs of Bujumbura. This commemorates the meeting between 2 explorers and these are Stanley and Livingstone. Have lunch and later Visit the fishermen at Rumonge port which is located only 70 km in the South of Bujumbura. This will help you explore different kinds of fish of Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel.

Day 7Bujumbura city tour and transfer to airport

After breakfast, you will go for a Bujumbura City tour. You will visit the visit the snake and culture Museum (Musee Vivant), Bujumbura Market, local people living in the city suburbs and so on. Have lunch and in the afternoon visit the stone (Rock) bring on 25/11.1871 by Livingstone and Stanley at Mugere in Bujumbura south. You will also visit Lake Tanganyika for scenic views, later be transferred back to airport for your flights back home.
