10 Days Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla Safaris

You will find our company tour guide at the airport ready to transfer you to your hotel. This will depend on the time of your arrival, but there will be a city tour if you arrive a bit early. Places to visit in the city tours will include the Snake & Culture Museum; the Explorers Memorial, the Islam Culture Centre; City Hall; President’s Office and the main attraction of the City: Lake Tanganyika.

Morning breakfast and transfer to Kibira Forest National Park, for a guided nature walk in this park which has few animals’ species. If time allows you will visit the Explorers Memorial, a huge rock in the Suburbs of Bujumbura commemorating the meeting between explorers John Speke and Hanington. Dinner and overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel on a Bed & Breakfast basis or any other hotel of your choice.

Transfer eastwards to Kigali in Rwanda. pass through hills and turns, continuing to the border, of Rwanda, Have en rount lunch proceed and pay a visit to the Botanical Gardens and a cultural museum. Arrive late afternoon. This drive will take approximately 8hrs. Overnight: Hotel Chez Lando or Hotel des Mille Collines or step town motel.

After morning breakfast, you will go for city tour, in this you will visit places like Kigali genocide memorials, which include mirambi, Nyamata and many others where thousands of people were murdered in a cold blood during 1994 genocide war. Have lunch in the afternoon, drive to the North of Kigali to parc National De volans. Overnight: Hotel La Palme/Virunga Hotel Ruhengeri/Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.

Drive to Park Headquarters for briefing on how to do gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. This activity is done through the forest, hills and swamps which can be can be tough some times. Have morning break, transfer to lake Bunyonyi for scenic views of the most beautiful lake in the region, visit the Batwa pigmies, take a boat on the lake to visit some islands which include punishment islands which was used to punish all girls who would get pregnant before married. They would be taken there and die of hunger and starvation. Overnight: Bunyonyi Safaris Resort or similar.

After your Delicious morning breakfast, you will be transferred to lake Mburo national park, on your arrival check in your hotel and proceed for boat ride. Return back your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at lake Mburo Safari Lodge, Mihingo Lodge or similar.

Wake up very early and go for morning game drive in the park, expect to see animals like zebra, Uganda cobs, return to your lodge for lunch, in the evening you will go for guided natural walk escorted by armed game ranger. Dinner and overnight at lake mburo safari lodge, mihingo lodge or similar.

Have morning breakfast and transfer to Kampala which is the capital city of Uganda. Enroute you have a stop over and the equator where two hemisphere meet, visit drum makers at Mbambire then proceed to Kampala. If time allows you will go for city tour and visit places like Kasubi tombs where Buganda kings are buried, visit Namugongo shrine where Uganda matryrs where burnt alive to ashes. Dinner and overnight Serena hotel Kigo, ministers village hotel, or Sheraton hotel.

Have morning breakfast and visit craft shops in Kampala town for shopping, then transfer to the airport for your flights to another destination.
